That is a great question! There have been issues with Federal-Pacific breaker boxes for years – I’ve heard that nearly 1 in 4 are defective…They were actually investigated some years ago, and found guilty of fraudulent testing. Faulty wiring is usually a covered expense so your homeowners policy should cover some or all of the cost (minus deductible).
