\u201cUnderwriting deals at the bank completely changed how I looked at risk,\u201d Goodin said. \u201cYou see patterns quickly\u2014what works, what\u2019s overstated, and where developers tend to get exposed.\u201d<\/p>\n

That background ultimately led Goodin to pivot away from smaller residential projects and to founding his own multifamily development firm.
