For example, these measures exclude the impact of certain costs required to be recorded under GAAP. We include a reconciliation of these measures to the most directly comparable GAAP financial measure, which is net loss.<\/p>\n<p><em>Adjusted Net Loss<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We calculate Adjusted Net Loss as GAAP net loss adjusted to exclude non-cash expenses of stock-based compensation, derivative and warrant fair value adjustment and intangible amortization. It also excludes non-recurring restructuring charges, gain on lease termination, and convertible note payment-in-kind (\u201cPIK\u201d) interest and issuance discount amortization.
