Questions that include the phrase 'If I meet all your needs will you be buying today" isn't how we operate.
Production requirements are low, so you won't feel a great amount of pressure to sell just to keep your position.
For those that are aggressive and want to put in the time and service (but want to do so from home), a consistent $100,000 or more a year is possible in just a few years, without resorting to high pressure sales tactics. Because we represent so many carriers, when one raises their rates, we have others to look to for a better value. That helps protect your ability to develop a residual income year after year.
The ideal candidate will have:
At least three years of property and casualty sales or underwriting experience and at least one year selling life and health products.
Commercial and/or excess and surplus experience a plus.
At least one P&C related professional designation
A desire to stay in the industry, albeit work from home. That includes those that want to work part-time or a variable number of hours depending on season etc…
An acceptable candidate is someone currently (or recently left) the industry that is comfortable analyzing a client’s needs and proposing a solution.
Requirements include the following:
A strong desire to not only gain clients, but create raging fans as a result of your commitment to the highest levels of service. Your new clients should be actively telling their friends and family how great you are to work with. You set your own hours, but always within the context of providing the very best of care your client can possibly receive. Good enough is never good enough at 1 Reason.
High speed and stable internet access that can support a business-class VoIP (internet phone) connection and conversation.
A modern, well equipped Windows based computer able to support various online and installed software for VoIP, customer relationship management software, rating software, and others as needed.
Exclusive P&C contract with 1 Reason without an outside book, or a willingness and ability to roll their (acceptable) book within an agreed up time. If you're already selling life and health with another company, no problem, we can create a contract with that in mind.
A quiet, absent of background noise location that is appropriate for professional sales.
E&O insurance in force on or before the starting date and maintained while contracted with 1 Reason.
Travel to the insured’s location to take pictures and perform field underwriting, but not before the client has already agreed to purchase.
Appropriate Insurance Licenses are required and this is a commission based self-employed position. Must be persistent, enthusiastic, and goal-orientated. Must work well independently.
Must have valid driver's license and approved driving record.
Any criminal convictions related to honesty and integrity is an automatic disqualification.
