Acquisition adds a 110-homesite community in the North Carolina mountains
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — FG Communities, whose mission is to preserve and improve affordable housing by acquiring and operating manufactured housing communities, is pleased to announce the acquisition of a 55+ manufactured housing community in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The community totals 110 homesites, further strengthening the company’s footprint in Western North Carolina.
Situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains approximately 20 miles south of downtown Asheville, the community offers residents a scenic setting alongside convenient access to nearby hiking and outdoor recreation, as well as the dining and cultural amenities the city is known for. The broader metro area, which includes Hendersonville, has grown to more than 485,000 residents, up roughly 3.6% since the 2020 Census, a trend driven in part by people relocating to the region for its climate, scenery, and lower cost of living relative to nearby metro areas.
