Using ChatGPT Can Help Your Business Grow By Helping You Write SEO Friendly Content For Your Website

If you haven’t heard of Artificial Intelligence (commonly just called AI) and the impact it’s having on marketing and pretty much everything, it’s something you want to learn about. AI technology is disrupting the world we live in, and is being called a “Google killer” because you can ask a “chat bot” relatively simple and advanced questions and get your answer without having to click on a bunch of links and or watch many YouTube videos to get the information you want.

It’s like we’re back in 2001 when Google was taking over Yahoo as the search engine of choice.  Can you use AI to simply cut and paste content into your website, the easy absolute answer is a hard no, however, by using the content generated by AI, a business owner, and/or content creator can have a great starting point and use the skeleton, or outline if you will, to get a fast start towards creating content that will help your website grow. One of the biggest hurdles or barriers of creating new and fresh content is the starting point. Call it writer’s block, or the total amount of time that’s required to go from zero to publish, or call it what you will, however, creating content is one of 456 tasks a small business owner needs to do on a regular basis and it’s super easy to push off (I being exhibit A admittedly).

Being able to push past the starting point and the wheels in motion is why I often will hire people on Fiverr to write an article for me, and then I will take that content and give it my voice so that it’s ready for prime time. To be perfectly clear, I have yet to find quality content creators on Fiverr that I could cut and paste into my website, which makes the process slow and delayed. However, if all I have to do is take what’s already there and add my voice and some additional content to increase the value, it’s not that hard to keep content flowing to the web pages. In fact, after a long dry spell, I can say that 1reason.com’s newest content wouldn’t have likely been published without the aid of ChatGPT and AI helping me out.

What I especially like about using AI to create content is it can be done when I want to do it. I don’t have to order the outline on Fiverr, wait a few days, and then edit it. With AI I can enter in the subject I want written about, when I have time, and work from there. All while knowing I can add quality content in maybe 25-30% of the usual amount of time and with less effort.

Furthermore, at least for right now as of the time I write this, using AI is free and I bear no cost to get my outline. This should be repeated because it’s so important, AI is free to use and increases my productivity all at the same time.

Some key points that need to be addressed include you may receive information that’s not correct. By its very nature, AI is a computer “trying” to create content that is human friendly, and it isn’t reviewed and/or edited prior to the results being displayed. Moreover, grammar issues may require a review as well (I don’t have a feel for how well AI handles grammar issues, especially within the context of any given subject matter).

Another key point is it appears that Google “knows” AI generated content and will discount it vis-a-vis human generated content. What that means to me is that just like using Fiverr or another low cost content solution, the content must be edited and revised prior to publishing it on a live website. I’ve already “written” two insurance related articles and intend to write many more, having the AI generate the technical aspects of any given type of insurance coverage so I can be spared the task of having to write and create content that is standard and not personalized.

For example, concepts such as liability insurance and/or negligence have standardized meanings for the most part, and require only time to put on virtual paper and don’t require the creative aspect of content creation. By using AI I save myself so much time. The same is likely true with any business venture and while I was a professional writer, making it much easier for me compared to most, by using AI anyone can and has the tools to add content to their website.

If you’re struggling to create content, or find it boring and lacking of instant reward (Google may take months to push your website up), AI may make the process much more enjoyable.
