The addition of Ms. Bailey is in direct response to the recent sharp increase in ERISA-related litigation and for the purpose of meeting the burgeoning ERISA litigation needs of the firm’s current clients. Ms. Bailey has extensive experience in complex litigation, including class action lawsuits involving valuation of employee stock holdings in an employer-sponsored ESOP covered by ERISA, insurance coverage disputes and reinsurance contracts. Her broad ERISA litigation experience also includes cases involving breach of fiduciary duty and denial of benefits claims under 401(k) plans and disability plans. Ms. Bailey’s areas of practice also include business, commercial, construction and insurance defense litigation. Her reinsurance practice involves frequent interaction with overseas brokers and reinsurers regarding insurance claims arising across the globe. Ms. Bailey has successfully tried, litigated, and mediated numerous cases on behalf of national corporate clients, major transportation companies, insurers and self-insured entities. She has successfully disposed of cases through the use of dispositive motion practice, leading to numerous victories on behalf of her clients. Several of her winning motions for summary judgment have been upheld on appeal.
