DAYTON, Ohio, Dec. 12, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CareSource, a nonprofit health plan, reminds consumers to enroll in a Marketplace plan before the December 15 deadline to ensure coverage beginning on January 1. Open enrollment for the Marketplace ends on January 31, 2017.
During 2016 open enrollment, CareSource Marketplace plans enrolled more than 124,000 members across four states. For 2017, the company is projecting to enroll over 175,000 individuals, and expects to double its enrollment in West Virginia.
Expanded Footprint
CareSource will serve West Virginians in 32 counties in 2017, an increase from 10 counties in 2016. The company has also expanded its network of health partners in West Virginia to give consumers more choices in who they see for care.
“At CareSource, we see the Marketplace as a true investment in the people we serve. We are expanding into more counties in West Virginia because we believe in the benefits we can offer to consumers through our affordable, high quality plans,” said Michael Ross, Manager, West Virginia Marketplace, CareSource. “As we continue to expand and grow, we will always remain committed to our members.”
New Plan Options
CareSource Marketplace will include two new plans that were designed based on consumer feedback. CareSource Simple Choice is a standard federal plan with uniform features to make it easy for consumers to navigate the complexities of health insurance. The CareSource Marketplace Silver Low Premium plan offers an alternative to consumers who are experiencing premium increases while still providing the benefits of popular silver plans. Existing CareSource plans also remain some of the best value options offered in the company’s service area.
