In frustration with Freepbx’s frustrating policy regarding migration from one freepbx server to a newer one, including with required API capacities (proper security), I decided to attempt to avoid having to deal with Freepbx and go another direction.
My causes of frustration with Freepbx’s modules are it makes it difficult to find information on the freepbx website after the company made some major changes, apparently without enough regard for the previous layout of information. For example, I find it impossible to find the instructions on the CRM connector with FreePbx, and the link is essentially useless.
Without paying for a service/tech subscription, I’m not able to even talk/chat to anyone to be able to use what was paid for. In my opinion, Freepbx has made the decision that the company places little value on customer satisfaction, and only allowing two or three transfers of servers without a tremendous effort by the client on modules with a 25 year license is not acceptable.
I found this youtube video that goes into detail of using Postfix as the means to send emails, such as voicemail notices and attachments to the user. It took a little bit of edits to make it work, albeit was relatively easy when combined with chatgpt help. Here’s the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPzCa4xBIss
